From the furnishing, service, food decoration to taste, I can only say very professional and particularly recommendable.

We are absolutely thrilled !!! First of all, we were impressed by the cozy, modern, rustic ambience. Then the charming and very experienced service, which also invited you to relax and linger. The food, both the vegan and the meat dish, was very, very tasty. Home-style dishes reinterpreted, on great dishes and with that certain something extra! Many thanks to the Green Gauls team! We felt very comfortable and hope to come back soon. All the best for the future! Hold on!

Nice ambience and pretty tasty food. My breaded chop was not as tender as I had hoped it was but ok. The side salad can certainly be topped with another dressing. Super nice dishes and the bread as a starter is so delicious. Do you bake it yourself? Service also really tried hard :)) I'd love to come back

Nice restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere, delicious food and reasonable prices in Bochum (near Bermuda Triangle). It's worth a visit.

The Ehrenfeld in Bochum has blossomed. You have to add the green horse to your list of regular bars. Very small menu with selected specialties. Very large selection of drinks, indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommended 👍

Very great upscale ambience and super committed service. Here the food is served from the kitchen itself to the square. The map is very clear but there is something for everyone. The only small drawback was that it was relatively loud. We would love to come back.

We were here with a group and waited almost 3 hours for our food. You can't make up for that with a very tasty but simple meal. I really liked the attention to detail regarding the glasses, serviettes, ambience and food. A little bit “like with grandma”.

Best place in the entire city for drinks. Best beer, best barkeepers and they’re honestly communicative as well. That’s what one wants in a bar. The interior is cozy and homely but at the same modern. Extraordinary selection of wines of the wine wall and the customer attention is superb. Lovely audience of locals, too. One never misses a proper chat evening. Can’t praise this place enough.

The dishes we ordered were very tasty and from good to very good quality with fresh products. What to expect at the scheduled prices. The parallel to the restaurant "Franz Ferdinand" is unmistakable. First of all, the restaurant to the Green Gaul is great, why still a star is missing, later. I think it was also time, that where in Ehrenfeld else the Orlando used to be the address at the time, finally a restaurant has arrived again. We each started with a starter. First, the beef tatar with organic yolk, house bread and pickled vegetables and the other starter was Rostbeff from the Allgäu ox with horseradish cream, buttered house bread and corn salad. Both were excellent. Very well prepared. Very well prepared and tasted very well. Here is also the tartar to emphasize. As a main course we choose the venison bratwurst with parsnip ragout, Corn salad, wild gravy & cranberries and the breaded chops of Mangalitza pig with lukewarm potato salad & Swords honey mustard sauce. In the latter dish, the potato salad was made with bacon, which is not everyone's taste. But otherwise both dishes were perfect. And now comes the but ... For a restaurant, which advertises it, quote: "We are doing it ... to the responsible handling of animals and food." Are they portions too big. 2 sausages and 2 chops of this size were too much and much of it has gone back. The approach of the appetizers to offer in small and large portions would be easy to apply here. Otherwise, the green Gaul unreservedly recommend buu. Another word for dessert, the iced cottage cheese with chocolate sauce & covered Sauerland cherries is a dream ... point.
